All about Neon
Neon (Atomic Symbol: Ne) has an atomic number of 10. Neon's Atomic Mass is 20.1797 (~20.18). Neon has 10 protons, 10 Neutrons, and 10 electrons. In order for Neon to boil it has to be at 27.07k. In comparison, Neon has to be at 24.56k in order to boil. Neon is a Gas (nonmetal) in it's normal phase. It's part of the Noble Gases. The word Neon originated from the Greek equivalent of new, "neos." Neon was discovered by Sir William Ramsey and Morris M. Travers right after their discovery of the other element Helium (both in 1898).
